GateKeeper Systems, a Web-based application. App-139
assists with the streamlining of FAR Part 139 inspection
requirements and recordkeeping, maintenance
work order processing, and tracking of associated
performance measures. The estimated savings in labor

With the launch of the App-139 Electronic Airfield
Inspection-Work Order Management System, the
department of airports has been able to:
1. Reduce the overall time to complete airfield
2. Reduce the overall time to receive and complete
3. Increase productivity by having a mobile device
onsite capable of transmitting updates to everyone
involved in the process;
4. Reduce paperwork flow; and
5. Store all records on a cloud-based database with
access to anyone from anywhere.
Prior to implementation, everything was paper based,
and updates required shuffling paperwork from one
office to the other. With the new system, the airfield
inspection procedure for airport operations was reduced
from seven steps to four, and the maintenance work
request procedure was reduced from five steps to three.
